Our history

“Cherchons pour voir” was born following the signing of a cooperation agreement in May 2012 between the Toulouse Institute of Computer Science Research (IRIT), attached to the CNRS and the University of Toulouse, and the Institute of Jeunes Aveugles, a foundation recognized as having public utility since 1866.

“Cherchons pour voir” has the mission to develop new technologies adapted to the visually impaired and / or their environment in order to improve the accessibility of places and supports.

Our goal: to develop new efficient technologies adapted to visual impairment

Our role :

  • Coordinate and pool teams around collaborative projects.
  • Involve visually impaired people and professionals in the sector in the research process.
  • Foster bridges and exchanges with the industrial fabric via partnerships.
